Participating at this competition is free.
If the participant is a minor, Geocaching Brughia VZW assumes that the legal guardian of the minor has given his approval to participate at this competition.
Participating at the competition means that you agree with all the rules.
Photos can be submitted from 8 January until and inclusive 25 February
2019 to the e-mail address linked to this competition email@example.com and qualify for the competition if the following information is provided: title of the photo, name of the participant, if applicable your geocaching nick name, address, telephone number and e-mail address. Per participant a maximum of 5 photos can be submitted. If the maximum number of photo per participant is exceeded, only the first 5 submitted photos will be taken into account. Preferably, the photos are from good quality: they are preferably 5 Mpx in size and have a resolution of 300 dpi. Only .jpg-format is accepted (no Word document or Powerpoint presentations are accepted).
Presentation of the laureates
The laureates are chosen in 2 steps:
- Geocaching Brughia VZW organises a preselection of the photos with a by themselves chosen jury based on the following criteria:
- Quality of the photo
- The clear link with geocaching and/or
- A clear link with the theme of the Brugse Beer Event IX: ‘The magic continues’
- The photos that are chosen, will be presented to the participants of the Brugse Beer event 2019. The public will be able to vote using a voting form that will be provided by Geocaching Brughia VZW.
Every participant of the Brugse Beer can vote one time. In case of an exaequo Geocaching Brughia VZW remains the right to give the laureates a shared place. The three photos that receive the most votes of the public, will receive the public award. The jury also choses three photos that will receive the judges award.
All submitted photos can be used to illustrate the communication of Geocaching Brughia VZW without having to pay copyrights. Participants can only submit photos from which they have the exclusive copyright. Therefore, they have to have approval of all third parties that were involved in the making of the submitted photo. Participants can guarantee that the submitted photo is an original and unpublished photo (it is forbidden to copy an existing work). In general, every participant guarantees the organisers that no charges can be made in response to the using of transferred rights. Facebook Geocaching Brughia VZW is allowed to place a selection of the submitted photos on their Facebook. Hereby, they will use the title and description of the respective photos.
Geocaching Brughia VZW is not responsible for problems with the Internet that lead to a late participation, nor for the damage or loss of submitted data. Geocaching Brughia VZW also remains the right to change, extend or cancel the competition in case of force majeure.
Geocaching Brughia VZW is allowed to use the e-mail addresses that were received of the participants of the competition and the voters to inform them about initiatives that might interest them. The juridical regulations are of course followed with regards to privacy.
